Chris Shewmake leads the comms planning, media planning, media buying and digital/social strategy across CPB’s client roster. He began his advertising career managing paid media for brands across the outdoor, travel, fashion and spirits industries, including The North Face, Oakley and Aspen Ski Co. Since coming to CPB in 2015, Chris has led the development of the Communications Planning discipline, working to bring data and consumer insights to the center of the agency’s creative process, fostering collaboration between media, creative and strategy departments. Chris has a versatile background in data, audience development, programmatic and channel strategy, and believes in bringing an analytical lens to creativity. A Colorado native and graduate of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, Chris’ first job involved traveling the globe as a professional downhill mountain bike racer with the SRAM / Santa Cruz Race Team.
