Search/Navigation widget- At the new sites core is a search-based navigation
engine that allows users access to any piece of content on vw.com within
2-clicks. The site navigation scheme and associated navigation widget tie
together VW online initiatives both at a technical level and creating a
single destination for our owners and best prospects, providing an engaging
and innovative user experience.
Find a Dealer- The new enhanced find a dealer functionality leverages
mapping technology, allowing users to search for dealers by zip code and
name, and delivering the search query within a user friendly area map,
plotting the locations of the top results. The maps are zoomable and
viewable in map, satellite or hybrid formats.
Builders and VW Features- VW model Builders allow users to customize their
vehicles by selecting colors, features, packages, accessories and wheel
options and watch as the cars are built through 3D visuals. Once the user
has built the car of their dreams they have the associated price and can
relay the specifications directly to a dealer. Users can then take their car
on a virtual spin, with VW features from putting a Jetta through crash
testing to breeding your Rabbit with other Rabbits (vehicular and the fuzzy
guys).
