Every Spring, as a sponsor of National Bike to Work Week, Shimano invites cyclists and non-cyclists to bike to work as an alternative to driving. To inspire cyclists to take part, Shimano created the Jump Your Coworkers banner. By hitting a few buttons like a maniac, players “pedal” to get enough air to clear coworker’s desks while encouraged with a drumroll and applause from their fellow office mates. The game received accolades from inside and outside the bike industry while also increasing foot traffic to bike shops by 20%. There were 120% more visits to the site this year compared to last and an average visit duration of 12 minutes directly attributed to interaction with the game. This campaign successfully turned a typical how-to initiative into an interactive, fun experience. |
